The desktop workflow, step by step
Open TikTok in one browser tab and SSSTik in another.
Click the video you want so it opens on its own page.
Press Ctrl+L (Cmd+L on a Mac) to select the address bar, then Ctrl+C (Cmd+C) to copy the link.
Switch to the SSSTik tab with Ctrl+Tab, click the input field and paste with Ctrl+V (Cmd+V).
Press the download button and choose an available option.
Once you’re used to it, the whole process takes only a few keystrokes per video.
Set up your browser’s downloads
By default, most browsers put every file in one general downloads folder. Two settings help:
Change the download location: point it to a dedicated folder, such as “TikTok saves”, in your browser’s settings.
Ask where to save each file: when this is turned on, the browser asks for a folder each time, so you can sort videos as you download them.
Most desktop browsers offer both options in their download settings, though the exact names vary.
Rename files as you go
Downloaded files often have long, random names. Rename them straight away: select the file and press F2 on Windows or Return in the Mac Finder. A pattern like “date, creator handle, topic” keeps your folder searchable and credits the creator.
Watermark and quality
SSSTik doesn’t edit or remove the TikTok watermark. When TikTok provides a version without the watermark, SSSTik links to that file directly. Quality depends on the original upload: you’ll get HD when TikTok hosts it, but SSSTik doesn’t upscale lower-resolution videos.
